Chris Buchholz: perfect attendance since 2007
For more than 10 years, CNA/Bath Aide Chris Buchholz hasn’t missed a day of work. That’s not an expression or over-exaggeration. It’s an absolute fact.
“One of the values and morals my mom taught me is that if I want something, I have to work for it. She taught me how important it is to be at work and on time, no matter what your job is. No matter what I had going on, I’ve never called into work. I always schedule my appointments around work, or I’m sure to take off if I need it,” said Chris. “If there is a lot of snow and I’m snowed in, I’ve called our maintenance department or administrator, in the past, to pick me up so that I’m able to be there for our residents.”
Chris has been with Fulton Presbyterian Manor since February 9, 2007, and started out as a night shift CNA, then became a day shift CNA/Bath Aide.
“I have succeeded in my perfect attendance because I was raised to keep on working when you don’t feel like it. I think about our residents if I’m not here. We have wonderful and amazing residents. I love them all. They’ve become my family. I love them and can’t imagine my life without them,” said Chris. Chris’ coworkers appreciate her steadfast dedication.
“I have known Chris for a very long time and she is one of the most genuinely kind people I know. When she is with the residents, they absolutely light up! Chris goes above and beyond with the care she provides and I am happy she’s on our team!” said Bessie Boese, LPN, MDS Coordinator “I have worked with Chris for over 6 years. Every time I see Chris, she is smiling, laughing, and always upbeat. Seeing Chris interact with the residents is absolutely amazing. The residents are smiling, laughing, and having a good time when they are with Chris. I’m glad she is part of the Fulton Presbyterian Manor team!” said Keri Edwards, marketing director.
Dawn Smith, executive director, said, “We are so honored to have such a dedicated and loyal employee on the Fulton Presbyterian Manor team. Chris’s bubbly personality is loved by residents and co-workers alike.”
