Lifelong Learning

Exploration and discovery are a vital part of living well and play a key role in healthy aging. In fact, studies show that people who stay stimulated intellectually throughout life are typically happier and healthier. Residents of Fulton Presbyterian Manor routinely participate in a variety of activities that keep them actively engaged in the community and the world.

Our library contains both printed and digital materials which residents may access at their leisure. Among the resources available here are a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction literature, cable TV and DVD player, and a computer equipped with magnifier to accommodate residents with low vision.

Just Ask

In addition, we offer Just Ask educational sessions to the general public as well as our residents, presenting the latest information on topics of interest to older adults. Topics include senior fitness, how to recognize the warning signs of Alzheimer's disease and heart disease, financial planning and how to avoid scams.

Besides the resources available on campus, Fulton is home to both Westminster College — the site of Winston Churchill’s famous “Iron Curtain” speech — and William Woods University, renowned for equestrian studies. Surrounded by institutions of higher learning and with the Fulton public library nearby, our residents have access to a wide range of enrichment and cultural opportunities.

Free WiFi throughout our community enables residents with an internet-capable computer to go online whenever and wherever they choose — from the library, their own desktop or, for those with a laptop computer, from anywhere on campus.
